Day 23 of 2011 Challenge

OK so I didn't forget this blog existed, I've just been busy...holidays at the end of 2010 and then the new challenge this month...so here's the lowdown....

Between November and December I gained some weight...not sure if it was just stress induced binge eating or the hormone pills I started in the fall but there it was when I weighed myself at the end of the year...nearly 10 lbs...sooooooo I started out the year at 209.4 and am currently down to 206.4...new year, new challenge, new journey, new ME! lol...so if I don't update here much you can find me at the following link :)

Day 312

Start Weight 232.4
Current Weight 200.8
Total Lost 31.6 lbs

Achieved my pre-Lily baby weight goal!!
Have lost more weight than ever before in my life!!
Am no longer classified as OBESE!!
Am over half way to my final goal!!
.7 pounds and I will be under 200 lbs
28.4 pounds from my final goal...pre-Charlotte baby weight

Managed 2 small walks so far this week :) Looking forward to Christmas and would like to look FABULOUS in Christmas and New Year's pictures so this is my current motivation :) Not to mention the closer I get to my goal the easier it will be to reach it in 2011 when the resolution motivation kicks in :)

One new year resolution I already have is to figure out how to purchase a stationary bike...

Not sure about continuing with this journal as I keep forgetting to update it....the facebook group is nearly defunct as I've just opened a Yuku message board for the group instead so that I have more options...I won't officially close the facebook group until January 1st to give everyone a chance to make the transition to the new board...

Anyway...busy day ahead so must run...

Not sure what day this would be....

....but I was reminded tonight that I hadn't updated in awhile....I'll try to update to a greater extent in the morning so I can post accurate numbers...honestly, I haven't had the greatest luck in the weight loss department lately....August turned out to be somewhat of a bust....I think I started off the month OK but something happened in there somewhere....the heat prevented me from walking....we went camping again...yada yada....not excuses really, just events outside my control....I really thought I'd be down below 200lbs by now, and I was so close! I got down to 202.8 at one point and then it slowly began to creep back up...I haven't actually weighed myself yet this week so tomorrow should be interesting!

I did update my facebook group throughout August so I'll copy and paste the entries here tomorrow just to keep up to date :)

Day 196

208 lbs

Soooooo I've been sick...but trying to eat as much as I can and drinking tons of water....haven't exercised since I don't know when....that first bike ride I had was the last real day of exercise....heat was a key factor...then family arriving and then this sickness....next week we're camping most of the week (Wed-Sat) so hopefully I get plenty of exercising in (swimming, hiking) and I'm going to try my best to stay true to my eating plan which won't be easy considering our normal camp food consists of hotdogs, hamburgers and marshmallows....lol This year I'm going to bring lots of healthy snacks that won't go bad right away....apples and bananas...granola bars....that sort of thing :) BUT I am allowing a full fat/calorie meal and I won't be counting ANYTHING that meal....Fundy Takeout has awesome food and I'm already craving my deep fried clams....yum! And we're hoping to get some lobster :) But if I balance everything else out it shouldn't be a problem...I have my fast food every once in awhile....last weekend was really bad though....pizza and McDonalds and alcohol, oh my! lol But I got to hang out with my old bestie so it was all good :)

I honestly didn't plan on updating today but it's too hot to do anything and I can't really lay down this time of day so I figured I'd at least update my weight...

Anyway.....until next time...can't guarantee when...

Day 189

OK, started my food journal again, or rather resumed it....I had done it for awhile and then found I was depressed looking at the total at the end of the day....and it was a big job to do every day so I got tired of it pretty quick....but I'm curious with the way I've been eating lately....because I haven't been counting total calories or fat....I know I'm not over (except if we eat out and that is seldome these days) but I want to make sure I'm getting enough calories for the day....and protein as well...and keeping my nutrition in check :)

I was too lazy to cook anything for breakfast so I had grapefruit, banana, sliced cheese and coffee instead....bad enough I was drinking hot coffee....hot food on top of it would send me over the edge....but I think I'll boil some eggs this morning for lunch....by then they'll be nice and cold to slice up and have with my salad :) Mmmmm...

Day 188

I'm replacing walking with biking....I can go later at night when it gets cooler and it only takes a fraction of the time to complete my 4km....and it gives me a hundred percent better workout! Went for the first time last night and I'm not sore today at all other than my butt because those bike seats are not very comfortable....might have to invest in a nice gel seat....

Only 3.8 pounds to go to get to my pre-Lily weight...lol...and only 10.4 lbs to get under 200 lbs!! YAYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can't wait to see 199 on the scale!!!!!! Maybe by the end of this month? Would be nice but I'm not holding my breath....but I can certainly strive for it....that's the plan anyway....the goal for theonth we'll say, even though there's only 3weeks left to do it....I'd have to lose approximately 3.3 lbs per week in order to do that...not saying it's impossible if I can go biking every day or at least 5 times in the week...and stick to my eating plan I've been on which is going very well! Hell if I even get close to that I'll be happy :)

OK...better run....got a lot of housework to do and it's already so hot I don't know if I can do it or not...really just want to sit in front of a fan for the rest of the day...
